This is the hand from the statue of Etienne de la Boétie, 1530-1563, judge, philosopher and writer in France. The statue is situated in Sarlat-la-Canéda, Dordogne, France. On a regular basis people put different things in his hand. This time it was a piece of paper. Framed 46x56 cm.
